Hotpants Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 (edited) Has anyone had the same problem? I was playing a few days ago finally got the key assignments working to how i want them, dl the 6DOF file from free track running sound then started the game this afternoon and now some of the key assignments don't work. The Shkval movements up/down is wanting to lock onto everything but going left/right works fine. Checked if there was anything conflicting there isn't. Ive moved my USB plugging in into another port incase it was that but everyting runs fine in Lock-On. So BS / controller was not working together. messed about with some key assignments went into instant action to try them and the game crashed. Now even after rebooting it still doesn't work. Should i reinstall ? Thanks Edited December 19, 2008 by Hotpants
Hotpants Posted December 19, 2008 Author Posted December 19, 2008 (edited) I looked in the Temp folder and the Error file was not even populated as what other ppl have uploaded. So I uninstalled BS updated the graphics card drivers, reinstalled BS and included reinstalling the Directx drivers. Went into the game only to assign basic flight controls and started the sim no problems. Came out of the game and looking in the temp folder which showed a more populated Error.text. This is now attached to this post. I will make a note of actions from now incase it happens again. *EDIT* i had to create a new text files as the attachment to this reply function would not recognise it. Ulrich Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 dl the 6DOF file from free track running sound t What does it mean?
Hotpants Posted December 20, 2008 Author Posted December 20, 2008 I came across a thread with a Newinput.dll file. I had been reading posts in DCS and Free-track that some of these files did not work. But i downloaded the one i have and i now have 6 DOF.
Ulrich Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Don't expect correct work with files merged from different versions.
