Aernov
Screenshot was taken on Normandy map, with terrain object shadows set to flat. Brick shelter (left) casts a shadow while concrete one (right) does not, and it seems to hide radar shadow too. It has a proper shadow on grass, but none on terrain surface.
Callsign112
Maybe it's just my monitor, but why do the edges of the concrete shelter make it look like a cutout? I will check on my end later on to confirm for you. Not sure if they need tracks for something like this.
Aernov
It looks like a cutout because it casts shadow on itself but not on the ground making it look like it was pasted over clear terrain image (what's up with little "partial angular shadow" to the right of antenna - I don't know), illuminated side looks normal to me.
Callsign112
Yeah agree, it gives it a real weird look. I will try to duplicate later on and post any comments back here. Thanks.

Callsign112
It looks like the shadow is incomplete. These images show it much better than your first set. Thanks.
Callsign112
This is what I am seeing on the Normandy map, stable version, no mods. I took shots from 3 different times of day (approx 0800, 1300, and 1600). Can't duplicate what you are seeing. con't... Con't...
Aernov
Hmm, maybe the issue is with flat shadows...
Callsign112
Well yes, shadows tend to be a little on the flat side.
Ala13_ManOWar
Try deleting the fxo and meteshaders2 folders on your saved games/DCS, sometimes it helps with things like that. Callsign112
Could this be another example of the effects of mods?
Aernov
I have no mods and never had any (besides custom liveries, but currently I have none too). Deleting metashaders2 and fxo is a frequent ritual for me ) Edited May 2, 2022 by Aernov
Ala13_ManOWar
If there's no reported bug and deleting the aforementioned folders didn't help, it might even be related to graphic drivers version.
