skypirate Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Greetings and congrats for the great sim.. Level of detail is amaizing. Though I run a high end machine with latest drivers, still when departing and arriving home airfields near major town I get FPS drop down to 8-10 which makes flying and landing in particular real pain (Compared with flying over mountains with FPS 30-40). Any ideas regarding some system tweaks that can improve the game running. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]Regards!

Shrubbo Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 lolz @ xp but let the cores be free. This would be the biggest boost of them all assuming you are running dual cores or more.. alt/tab out once in mission, select the dcs.exe process, right click it and set the affinity to all cores. Have seen up to double FPS increases. It has to be done every time btw and only once the mission has started. Or you can find out in the following thread how it can be done each time automatically.. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=35091 Specifically this post... http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=593129&postcount=10 If you are only running xp tho you can only dream of the massive fps increases :music_whistling::lol::lol::lol: i9-9900K,Z390 Aorus Master, 32GB GSkill Trident F4-3600 DDR4, ROG Strix RTX 2080 Ti, Oculus Rift S. lion737 Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 If you are only running xp tho you can only dream of the massive fps increases :music_whistling::lol::lol::lol: If you have running XP, you have that fps without tweaking anything :megalol:
Grodin Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Agreed, best way to increase FPS is upgrading to XP... i gained avarage +15fps ;) Other than that, you pretty much have to close down applications to free resources... turn down them eyecandy, as much as possible.. upgrade hardware :b Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity.
