I modified the original SA342 campaign for the Apache.

All 12 missions are working.

Have fun.

I did most of this campaignin the Gazelle but never finished it. I keep a good feeling about it. Thanks to you  I step again into it, I just finished the first mission.

I think there will be less incoherency with this hello campaign than with the Georgian Hammer, an A10C beeing far faster and with a more wider payload ...

I was so happy to hear again the british accent of meatboy-1 !

Did you set all missions with 4 hellfires (the gazelle having only 4 Hot3) to be coherent with mission design ? (it will remain canon and rockets)

By the way, in first mission sluggy take off before the soldier achieve to come to him...

Maybe you should also post the campaign fixed for the Gazelle...

When the Gazelle had 4 HOTs I put 8 hellfires. And only 4 when they had 2 HOTs. But you can always change as in almost each original missions you had to ask Meatboy to finish the targets.

Thanks. Those accents are interesting 🙂 I think I'd have a comms issue with them being a Geordie myself.

First campaign I've tried so that first mission mostly just looking around was great.  Could anyone give me any indication of how long on average the missions are so I can plan ahead?

Never checked but between 45 min and 1,5 hour I think.

Thanks that's enough to go off. Quite long then compared to what I'm used to. Fine but good to know as you can't save it.

As the gazelle is not developped by ED, no.

I'm on mission 6 now, I did not remember the difficulties of missions. I only managed to finish the first one without dying. Maybe it's because I played them with labels on when I did them with the gazelle, because my HMD had a far lower resolution at that time...Or maybe the gazelle was more easier to handle (I did not fly her for a very long time), or maybe I'm getting older...

As mission are quite long, it's hard to take time to stop and look on your path to ensure there is no embush. I ran sometime under AAA fire just by following the flight plan.

So I use track recording and replay, plus skip option once the replay drive me to the mission end. Some mission may have win to be splitted in 2 parts, it's painfull do redo the first part when you failed in the second phase.

But anyway, there are a good  to learn to fly the Apache in night operations, even if radio is not really used except for F10 option...

I found my frame rate tanked when things kicked off in mission 3 sadly. Not had that in any other missions yet, but they've just been smaller none campaign.

To the point I couldn't fly it. Not sure if it's a particular setting which makes that likely with so many targets and fire going on.

Yeah with all the units it was a nightmare. Already deleted half the units in the convoy but still a real FPS hit.

For some reason I get extremely poor performance with this campaign. I've so far only flown the first 3 missions but all of them, even the first one, gave me really poor performance.

Perhaps the Caucasus map and/or units included in these missions were affected by 2.8 and are now sadly performing horribly.

Anyone else try this in 2.8?

Haven't replayed the campaign since the 2.8 release sorry.

Nearly a year later, now using a 5800X3D and decided to try the new multicore DCS. I wish I'd tried it with just the new CPU but pleased to say this mission holds FPS now around 60 even when everything hits the fan 🙂

Nice. Will maybe refly it once I am through the MAD campaign.
