Buds Posted May 7, 2022 Share Posted May 7, 2022 Hi, so I tried run this game for about 2 months maybe, normal release, alpha release, standalone or steam, it always crash while loading. I don't have any mods installed, tried delete Saved Games's DCS folder, didn't change any setting as i have never been able to start this game without crash once. My NVIDIA drivers are updated, use a Windows 11 Insider updated build but i had quite a few updates and none helped. Flappie Posted May 7, 2022 Share Posted May 7, 2022 Your game crashes right before it reads the name of your GPU. I've never seen this kind of DCS crash before. Please follow this guide and choose "High performance" plan for DCS. Don't accept indie game testing requests from friends in Discord. Ever. Check this as well, in the compatibility options of your DCS.exe executable: right-click on DCS.exe, “Properties”, then click the “Compatibility” tab: Ensure “Run this program in compatibility mode for” is unticked. Ensure “Full screen optimisations disable” is unticked. Ensure “Run this program as an administrator” is unticked. Don't accept indie game testing requests from friends in Discord. Ever. Flappie Posted May 8, 2022 Share Posted May 8, 2022 Since it is "Kernelbase.dll" which crashes, you should take a look at your Windows Event viewer, in the Apps section. You should find reports there, at the time of your crashes. Can you please copy-paste them? By the way, I read "OverlayWindow" in the crash stack and I see your DCS runs on Steam.
