F-14 will not launch AIM-54C and Hornet will not launch AIM-120C. This happens in all my missions. Fighting boils down to heat-guided missile engagements. TEST (AI).miz 16.32 kB · 2 downloads Hi, it is hard to tell exactly what happens with AI tactics and weapon employement in your scenario that has high AIR and SAM threats on both sides, but in your mission as it is, AI does employ AIM-120c or R27R/AIM-54, but not very often. (see picture example) I'd say that ECM implementation in Hornet, pretty recently, does affect Fox-3 employement for both sides. Turning all Ships and SAMs sites to "Green state" alert makes Fox-3 much more used on both sides. (less ECM need, more occasions to shoot Fox-3 for both sides) As a side note, as it doesn't seem to affect your issue, your mission is pretty old : old weather, old CAP tasks without all actual options activated. Attached mission, where in my humble opinion there is nothing that justifies the restriction of FOX 3 Four Hornets against four Mig-29s and the Hornets flee without defending themselves. You can start the available mission for Syria, activate the F10 map view and observe the behavior of the (AI) The mission is not that old and is still under review to adapt to the changes after the latest updates. 28270 Posted June 3, 2022 Author Share Posted June 3, 2022 (edited) This mission is definitely broken. It may work well now and it may have worked poorly in the past, but it's hard to believe that four Hornets with four AIM-120Cs each would be shot down or outmatched by four Mig-29s at 30,000 feet. If I want a realistic and balanced mission, I can't put eight fighters on one side to beat four fighters on another. It is amazing that the aircraft with the SEAD role ends up escorting its escorts.
