steam conversion to the ED version

Not sure what you did. A are you trying to convert a Steam installation to a Standalone? 

Did you repair?

Never tried it. But I'm sure it's not as simple as copying the folder. Did you try a repair? And actually, I doubt you have the repair exe. 

I think you need to run tykke Standalone installer, and it will sort out the missing files.

Hello. I believe you have to follow these steps:

1. Download the Open Beta standalone installer
2. Run it, select destination folder (a new and empty folder) , and wait for the installer to start downloading the game.
3. Interrupt the download and exit the installer.
4. Now, copy-paste DCS files from Steam to the new destination folder.
5. Run a DCS repair.
