Tomcat ACLS still not functioning properly (SC)

nullOn the needles, on speed, landing configuration with AP and ACL mode engaged. The A/P CPLR light never shows up, pressing the AP Reference Button does nothing either

I also tried this with full flaps instead of just DLC just in case, same result. I haven't tested this with the non super carrier

hb pls fix

You cannot have DLC without flaps down, and if I am seeing correctly, your flaps are not down, just the MFs? IIRC you need to extend flaps fully for ACLS to work.

as stated in the post, I tried doing the same test afterwards with full landing flaps extended, and I had the same results

DL set correctly? If yes, show me a video/ track please, and pls paste your mission. Works 10/10 on my end.

And just to be clear, both flaps need to be down and DLC engaged for the coupler light to come on.

I'm using the Case 3 super carrier instant action caucus mission that comes with the F-14, which only has one carrier so I told jester to tune the data link frequency for it in and then checked myself in the back seat if he'd done it correctly (he did, green light was illuminated)

I'm unable to provide a track at the moment so hopefully that helps

Does ACLS work any differently for the SC? Do I need to talk to the carrier properly on the radio for ACLS to work?

No, not for the Tomcat.

I think your issue is really not having both flaps and DLC down and on at the same time. Try if it works like that.

Yep a lack of DLC was causing the issue, just tried it and ACLS is working now

thanks for the help 👍

Can somebody help?
I never can engage the autolanding (ACLS) in the plane so that it picks up the signal any flys  the approach automatically to the deck of the carrier.

Config:  Flaps set to full   / Gear down /  Hook down /  Autopilot and ACL on / Autothrottle on  /  TACAN frequency set and Data link set to the SC...   Did i miss something??

Waht's DLC you mentioned above?

DLC = Direct Lift Control

Please make sure you have a keyboard/joystick binding to toggle DLC on/off.  I have a button on the joystick to activate the system and use the thumbwheel for control.

You must press the Nosewheel Steering button (N on the keyboard for me) to activate the ACL system when within about 4 miles of the carrier.  Make sure your needles are as closely lined-up as you can, the Auto-pilot takes a while to centralise otherwise.

Take a look at The Grim Reapers' tutorials for the F-14.  Here is the one relating to ACLS:
