I looked, and there is a video out there, put out by PAF that shows Link-17 and it has circles on it showing sam ranges - but the aircraft doesn't show them? 2:54 (frame by frame to see) it has circles on the map. 2:57 as well. 10-117 has the HMD - you can see 5:15 in the video, the black thing near the left of the pilot's left shoulder is the sensor for the head tracking. Also 5:27. You can see the helmet has that characteristic brim of the display and the slanted glass. They also show 11-135 in the same shots, both of which are Block 1 aircraft. 5:36 a different helmet (not HMD) but has the head tracker piece affixed in the cockpit at the same place. Looks to me like a GCI station and who knows what the rings are supposed to display. Also 5:27. Right behind the sensor, you can see the CFT (conformal fuel tanks) that are used by F-16 only. That is still F-16 fotages. You can tell that by looking at the canopy in the back and the wings.
