Mike Force Team
Listening to the Razbam developers' interviews with the folks at ED is insightful. I learned the SA map took approximately four years to make. The is approximately 3.2 million square miles. For real-world comparison, the United States is 3.8 million square miles. I saw the screenshots showing the Falkland islands and southern Chile & Argentina. Let's build on the existing SA map by expanding it to include Antarctica. This map would be quite safe from politics, yet is very diverse. Antarctica has research stations from numerous countries at different locations. We can create our own campaigns, missions, and place natural resources in the Antarctica map. Some natural sources are oil, coal, and natural gas. Mission creators can create and place refineries, coal mines, and gold mines wherever they want to in the mountains. For interested programmers, they can develop real-world modeling of storms for the Southern Ocean. The Southern Ocean surrounds Antarctica. Add the option for rogue waves and tidal waves. For up-to-date weather, link a reliable weather service that continuously updates the map with timely weather information. Make the weather fully controllable in the Antarctica Map. End-users can have sustained heat waves, which causes the ice cap to melt. The map could model the impact of man-made global warming. To add realism, include modeling that shows Antarctica without any ice. On the other hand, empower us with options that will allow us to create the next ice age in the Antarctica map. The Antarctica map works well with the fighter jets, gunships, and naval ships. Devoted programmers can make modifications so that ground forces such as tanks, trucks, and soldiers move in snow. To make life more interesting, we can have whiteouts, blizzards, and below-freezing weather. We can add wildlife such as penguins, killer sharks, and walruses. For now, we have our ED cows that can eat snow and ice in freezing weather and not be impacted. For our pilots and aircraft, we can update the models to show how they will realistically operate in sustain polar environment. We do not want the naval assets to feel neglected; therefore, we can create harbors, ports, warehouses, and maintenance facilities for the ships. People can create communities near the coast or somewhere inland in Antarctica. The SA map says it has the Free Willy modeled in the SA map. In addition to modeling the Free Willy in the SA map, let's expand the killer's whale family in the Southern Ocean. We can add Great White Sharks, a kraken, giant squids, and shipwrecks. To show history, we can also show the defunct whaling stations. Should Razbam undertake this map, they would likely be working on it for a few years. Using the experiences learned over four years creating the SA map, Razbam might be able to create the map is less than four years. It would be a megasized map. Gunfreak
Wait it's 3.2m Square miles? I thought it was 3.2m Square km? i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 3090, 64Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
Mike Force Team
@Gunfreak It is 3.2 million square miles. Razbam developers said it takes ships 3 days in real-world time to travel from one side of the map to the other side going 24 knots. The SA map will take approximately 80 GB of hard drive space. The developers worked four years on creating this map from scratch. MFT Edited June 7, 2022 by Mike Force Team

Which is a bit over 1/3 the size of usa. 4 i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 3090, 64Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
George2772
Correct. The map is 3.1 million km2 as stated above.
