Dynamic tables change based on map selection

So far Mig-21Bis has three static tables for Caucasus inside the cockpit. Is there any way to make them dynamic, so they will change based on map selected? If possible, so won`t need to use kneeboards. These are three tables I`m talking about

1. Radio Channel Frequency Table

2. RSBN Preset Frequency Chart

3. ARC -10 (Automatic Radio Compass) Sector & Preset Channel Chart

  • skywalker22 changed the title to Dynamic tables change based on map selection

Would be quite an interesting feature, specially for RSBN tables so cumbersome to find in the kneeboard. Since cockpit 3D is set to be redone in the future they well might take a look on such a feature.

I guess there is no interest or even more likely, it`s not possible to make it. So lets keep on using Kneeboards.

We've got dynamic panels like this in a few modules (namely the Tomcat and Huey for radio presets), so it should be possible.

You mean this same FF F-14B we have here in DCS?

@-Rudel-, just for you to take a note 🙂

Yep, by the pilot's radio there's a table showing what frequency is assigned to each preset. The table is dynamic and will change based on what's set in the mission editor. The Huey has the same thing for its UHF radio.

It's not super-high on my wish list compared to some other things (ASP calibration, gun sounds, etc) but if we've got the reference tables in the cockpit, it's a bit immersion-breaking not to have them be map-appropriate.

Wondering if they're maybe on the agenda for the upcoming improved/revised cockpit model?

The Ka-50 has such tables that are pulled from map data. Because the RSBN isn't from map data it's not like it would matter but you could get map identity data and pull up a pre-made table image for that map identity.
