Yes that's true, perhaps with MB.339 too. Some talk about 22 of June.

We got the assets pack in the last patch, but am not seeing Type 42 Destroyers - is that going to be forthcoming? Apart from the Invincible, I can see Leander class UK ships not not much else.

There have been WIP teasers of one, likely coming in the payware asset pack.

And please God let it be one suitable for 1982 - right now we haven't got a single escort that actually took part in the war and in the right fit. 2 of the 3 Leanders weren't present in the conflict at all (and are the wrong variant) and the one that was is in a fit that predates the conflict by half a decade.

I think they've also teased a Type 23 (and a fairly modern one with 4.5" Mk 8 Mod 1 - so mid 2000s to early 2010s). I seem to remember some more Invincible-class fits too.

Never understood the utility of submarines in DCS there is no ASW modeled nor planes or helicopters to do it with.

Surfaced subs are not in their natural state. besides no real damage model to ships nor sensors or weapons that actually work.

There are straight running torpedoes that do work, though we're limited to WWI style straight-running torpedoes for the time being, even for torpedoes that are fairly advanced.

The ARA Santa Fe, for some reason (though it's far from its only issue), has Yu-6 torpedoes available.

There are AI ASW helicopters and aircraft.

There was also an experimental mod at one point (if I recall correctly).

The Santa Fe was also hit by helicopters while surfaced during the battle of South Georgia...

True, the S-3B, SH-60B, Ka-27PL and Tu-142 are all ASW capable (the latter 2 being essentially dedicated towards it) but there aren't any ASW sensors or weapons modelled as present (so the Ka-27PL is completely unarmed).

Well, it was first depth charged by a Wessex which forced it to the surface, there was then an unsuccessful attempt to torpedo it with a Lynx, using Mk 46 Mod 2 torpedoes - these are ASW only and rejects targets it thinks are surfaced). Then Wasps came along and fired AS.12 missiles at it.

There are no suitable aircraft for "ARA Veinticinco de Mayo" at the moment. Will Razbam also provide AI aircraft to fly from the carrier? It would be useless otherwise.

Download the A4E mod it does not bite....

And they already announced the Seaking if I am not mistaken...

There is also a nice s-2 Tracker mod out there....

Where did you find an S-2 Tracker mod? I have never seen one and would love to have it.

Hi,

I edited a pdf Catalog of the assets currently available, to use as reference while placing objects during mission editing, maybe it can be of help to other users:
