The only release mode they have is to lazily deploy a couple CM's every second or so, but this is enough to distract even the more resistant missiles like 9X and R-73 while flying in AB. It would be nice if the playing field was more even and the AI would have to use different CM programs. Not to mention that last time I checked, the AI is unable to use CM pods (and so the MiG-21bis and AJS 37 will always have countermeasure, even if not fitted with an ASO-2 or Kapsel B).
