A-10C II Tank Killer skin questions

I'm new to editing and skins/liveries and had a couple questions. I'm using GIMP and made a good skin with the Warthog. When I tried doing the same with the Tank Killer, I keep seeing the interior of the jet with where the Pave Penny pod was. There's not a specific template for the Tank Killer, so my question is how do I do this to where it looks like a normal jet and not one with a missing panel?

Second question is, does anyone have a layer that I can paste in to add the shark teeth?

Find the layer that has that bit of texture and erase it or mask it out.

So it seems that I am dealing with two layers. The Elements layer which has the artwork for the interior of that panel, and the Shadows layer since the Pave Penny pod cast a shadow on the air frame.

I masked off that section of the elements layer and got rid of the interior, and then painted the shadow layer, and this was my end result. It's the best I've done with this panel so far, but don't know what else to do so that it blends in seamlessly.

Just erase that whole section from the shadow layer. No need to blend if its not there anymore. Or rip the AO channel from the roughmets and use that as the shadows.

Alternatively, turn all the shadows off. They are way too strong anyway.

I gave the eraser tool a try and that worked to get rid of the unwanted stuff. That did leave the "square" from the selection as you can see up above like before. This time though I didn't have to use the paint bucket tool and try to get that right. I did use the smudge tool and blended in the edges of the "square" and it looks way better.

Still on the hunt for the shark teeth layer. I shudder at the thought of trying to draw that by hand.

There are some templates out there for the ones in game. I'll have a look to see what I've got.

Otherwise, yes it is a long an arduous path.

Or you could make it look like the panel has recently been removed.

Well, I'm getting somewhere with it:

New problem I'm running into now is I don't know where I can finish the shark mouth. The official livery with the mouth (74th FS), has additional black paint around the cannon barrel housing and support structure. I am having a really hard time finding where that section of the nose is, or which file it is in. I am new to this and locating the right bits is not easy.

Here's where I'm running into a road block. Mine is on the left, and the official one is on the right.

Funny thing, is when I was looking trough the various files, I saw the tail surfaces and thought that's the wrong area.
