HMD Display Centering (Not ALIGNment)

No, I am not referring to the HMD ALIGN procedure. I am quite familiar with the BIT test and ALIGN procedure; however, when properly aligned the HMD display seems too low in my FOV so that I must look up somewhat to get the display centered on the horizon. I noticed that during the ALIGN procedure I also must look up about 10 degrees to align the cross symbols. Is there some way to adjust the HMD display center upward a few degrees?

Are you talking about the relative position of the display to your eye in VR, or just the position of the display on the screen?

The HMD symbology will always be rendered at the center of the screen, so you may have to adjust your default head position closer to the HUD. Adjust your view to the position you want, and it can be saved with RAlt + Num0.

The issue here is that Eagle Dynamics put the "default view" in a way where you get use to "look outside in the top half of your screen". Having the HMD in the pure center of the screen make its use very not "natural" for TrackIR user.

I dont own a VR but i'd guess that the problem is non-existant for you, but for whoever fly without and get induce into that "outside is upper half screen and cockpit in bottom half" thing it just dosent feel right.

Eagle Dynamics, please, a simple option allowing to change that in the special tab  something in the lines of : Align HMD with HUD in the default camera position, would more than likely make alot of people happy.

Actually, the HMD display position is much more sensitive to the vertical angle (y_trans) setting than it is to seat height.

Seat height is the vertical angle. Remember the JHMCS is designed for the pilots head to be in a specific position. If you look at the HUD you’ll see a circle with a + and one with a Dot. You’re supposed to align those before you align the HMD.

This is only a forum meme.

The actual purpose is this:
