EDIT: I really admire all of you with mission making skills. I am slowly dabbering into it myself. Have you seen the "Sidekick" videos with the F1? He's using some type of script of how accurate you are. That would fit right in on a static target range.

The intercept Easy task slot is not affected, as in the mission set the PDF excerpt is not displayed. That was a new function for the campaign.

I can adapt the dive bombing scoring, though it has no impact on the mission set. I will have a look tomorrow morning 🙂

There was a small bug in mission #9 - Laser guided bombs with JTAC. The drone would fly some weird patterns, though it kept lasing correctly.

It now flies a correct orbit as it should be.

I updated the campaign download file, but also uploaded a fix, incase you just want to exchange the single miz file:

Pfew ! Just finished the campaign and am now apparently "combat ready" !! 

Excellent work, I really enjoyed it. Being "forced" to employ various attack modes was really good for practice. I was surprised at how precise(-ish) the toss bombing was, given how crude are the tools we have. Also (not news) : I suck at air-to-air combat. 😄 
I also struggled at times with the bombsight settings but I guess I'll just spend some more time on the range and find what works for me. (Sidekick made me discover the joys of iron bombing 😊)
The "exam" missions were great, challenging at times (I had to refly a couple of times) but had that feel of passing a higher bar than the trainings, well done.

So great job @Don Rudi ! 👍 And many thanks for providing good entertainment and valuable experience.

Anyone else have terrible fps at the airfield? I had to remove the non-player stationary Mirage F1's from the mission which fixed the issue. It was drawing 25-50M triangles with those planes in the mission, without them about 4M

Thanks for the info. I will keep it in mind when I update the campaign for the EE version. In general the performance of the Syria map seems to have decreased recently 😕

I'm in VR, away from the airfield it goes to 72fps on my quest2 and stays there mostly as I would expect given the graphical settings I have, but when I'm at the airfield or looking at it like when I come to land, it'll drop to 18fps. I think it has something to do with the shadows bug that is in the current version of DCS, those 6 or 7 planes really shouldn't have that big an effect on the performance.

Please see first post - I completely overhauled the campaign:

Changes compared to the old campaign are:
- reworked strukture, by dividing the campaign in basic, advanced, exam and graduaiton segments
- correction of all sight depression values
- Replaced the F1CE by the F1BE for the basic phase training
- Inclusion of the F1EE for the advanced and graduation phase
- Choise to select the F1CE or F1EE for the exam phase
- inclusion of new weapons (e.g. S.530F or Mk 83 bombs)
- inclusion of AAR tasks for the F1EE
- added appendices for INS alignment and INS waypoint creation in the manual
- 40 page instead of 28 page manual

The old version of the campaign had 1700+ downloads.

Hello everybody,

I was notifyed that a bug slipped into my training campaign - in mission "basic 09 - JTAC/GBU" the lasercode of the bomb did not match the code used by the JTAC.
Both codes are now set to 1588.

I uploaded the mission as a fix, just paste it into your existing campaign folder. Sooy for the inconvenience.

Fantastic campaign! Thanks very much 😄

I marathoned through as far as the toss-bombing mission, which I skipped after five or six attempts... a technique like that, I need an airstart / infinite ammo scenario to practice with, and tbh I'm not likely to do it "in real life" (on ECW) so happy to let that particular skill slide...

Something I did not expect was to be setting up HOTAS binds to adjust the TACAN projected waypoint position - but it's very handy to have an in-cockpit view of your distance and direction from a calculated point. I'll be using TACANs a lot more as a result of this campaign!

Something which tripped me up on the first mission (only) - it wasn't obvious that you press Space to hide the popup of the mission briefing. Perhaps this could be included on the popup if they're ever revised? Not worth fixing by itself but just if they're changed for any other reason.

Thanks again - this is excellent quality!

PS - actually I'm also confused by how to make the targets fire back - the radio menu has "ROE Red" and "ROE Green" but which one lets them fire back? Is it Green=Go or Green=Safe?

edit: ROE Red means they'll shoot back
