hreich
I am having difficulty to understand how to properly make coordinated flight/turns...Do i need to chase the ball - ie. press the rudder on the same side that ball is moving? Most time when i press the same rudder pedal, i cant center the ball Edited September 5, 2022 by hreich [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Pilot from Croatia
Solution razo+r Posted September 5, 2022 Solution Share Posted September 5, 2022 To be coordinated means having the ball in the center. To center it, press the pedal that is on the same side as the ball, meaning if the ball is right, give more right rudder. But it requires a bit of training to get the right amount of pedal force to put the ball into the center and not over/undershoot it. 2
Astralnut
I was flying yesterday and practiced keeping the ball centered while making level turns. The result is a very gentle bank and turn. If you are "yanking and banking" the ship around the ball doesn't mean much.
