Wishlist - Please give us the ability to exit/enter VR

Most games have the ability to enter and exit VR without having to relaunch the game. Hoping ED can add this feature.

Yes, would be a great addition. This is how it's done in Asobo's Flight Simulator 2020, and in XPlane 12 too.

The ability to change graphic settings in game is long awaited feature.

I would suggest that this feature (if implemented) wouldn't be done until Vulkan is implemented. With any luck - this was already considered and may be part of the Vulkan implementation.

well for now you all can use the Skatezilla utility which gives you the ability to launch in VR or not.. handy tool and a must have..

 I already use it... This a QoL request to not have to load the game in a specific mode.

  Many already do. ''How'' you launch the game isn't the matter at hand. You cna easily do that a number of ways, whether in VR or not and start it in whichever mode you wish. That's nothing new. The issue is having to reboot the game to switch between modes, and rebooting the game whenever you make even minor graphic setting changes. Hell, even should be able to download and add modules without having to reboot the game, if you wanna get right to it. There's too much bootin' goin' on across the board. It's mostly a hallmark of the ancient origins of the game engine.

Yes I know this is VR. I thought there was a General Wishlist for DCS Guess I was wrong again lol!!

No, there is a general wish list, but, there is not a specific wish list for VR. Blocked.

As far as I know (please correct) that ability to enter and leave VR during engine running is only available as a feature in OpenXR runtime. OpenVR or oculus api does not have it. 

If they move to OpenXR that would be awesome for sure. Especially with Vulkan since they come from same developer.

This would be extremely helpful, along with some other core VR improvements. Hopefully, we'll see some of that with the upcoming Vulkan and multithreading improvements.

Yes, especially for mission editing. Either keep the editor in 2D and switch to VR when testing the mission, or let us switch between 2D / 3D any time.
