SuDepp Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Maybe its a foolish question, but.... the "targeting mode control panel" buttons don´t lit up when I press them. Although the function is proper I am missing the optical feedback. Did I miss something, do other pilots have this too or is it just me having this bug?! miguez Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Hey S@uDepp, Let's troubleshoot from the easier to the harder. First off, do you have the K-041 power switch on on the Targeting Mode Control Panel?

First off, do you have the K-041 power switch on on the Targeting Mode Control Panel? Sure - I once switched it off  that was funny diving, ´cos the autopilot is connected with it. As mentioned it works like it should (like turning nose in SHKVAL´s direction) - just the lights won´t switch to blue as shown in the videos.. Nevertheless keep on helping me Greets S@uDepp // Hasi @4,5 GHz @ H100i // Asrock Z87M Extreme 4 // Avirex 4x4GB // PALIT 1070 GTX SuperJetStream // Corsair 350D // Plextor extern // DELL 2407WFP // Razer Lancehead // 2xThrustmaster T.16000M + Saitek Pedals Pro // Oculus Rift // 3x amBX // Win10 Pro x64
gnirtS Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Same issue here, sometimes they light for me, sometimes they dont. They still work even when not lit just i have no idea what mode is currently on and which isnt.
SunDown Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 I've seen that too. Its got to be a bug. Even after a reset it does it. C Co 6-6 CAV USLANTCOM
xxvintersorgxx Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Are you doing the correct startup procedure? do you have falures on? did you check the lights? I believe is possible for crap to be broken @ start up
SuDepp Posted January 6, 2009 Author Posted January 6, 2009 (edited) Are you doing the correct startup procedure? do you have falures on? did you check the lights? I believe is possible for crap to be broken @ start up Failures "may" be on...dunno which setting I use but used to be the most realistic even without labels (yeah - I luv to hurt myself :megalol: ) Lights are checked but those don´t lit up anyways. Can´t be broken ´cos I checked it more than twice within instant action - the bird should be in correct shape..... Quite funny: it worked for the first time for me .... and disappeared again  Seems to be a bug... RvETito Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Nope, not a bug ;) Check the WCS (Weapon Control System) switch, right next to the ejection seat arming switches- it should be On. It is what makes those buttons lit. "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. Vapour Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Does this happen when autostart is used? (Lwin+home) If it does then it sounds like a bug, though tbh I haven't encountered it.

I really do think its working as intended and you missed a switch or something :music_whistling:

miguez Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 You've missed the WCS switch, to the right of the ejection seat switches. Hi AirTito, Great input, just tested, and, as usual, you're right. Vapour, the Shkval still works, laser ranges to target, I can lock or not, even follow moving targets with the Weapons Control System switch to off, but the lights on those four buttons on the Targeting Mode Control Panel do not work. AirTito, what exactly are we turning on then when flipping the WCS switch to ON? Just those lights?
RvETito Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 AFAIK, yes. "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
SuDepp Posted January 6, 2009 Author Posted January 6, 2009 AFAIK, yes. ...U must be joking mustn´t you? :joystick: :D Cannot believe the switch makes light only?! RvETito Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 You have a better idea? :D "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=
SuDepp Posted January 6, 2009 Author Posted January 6, 2009 (edited) ehmm......no?! :D :pilotfly: :D So plz ask ED about it later ok?! Beneath - it doesn´t (light in button) work EVERY TIME I switch on the WCS - the lights seem to stay dark independently sometimes.... THX and cheers... Frederf Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 You've missed the WCS switch, to the right of the ejection seat switches. Thanks, this happened to me once or twice and that's certainly an easy thing to miss!
xxvintersorgxx Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 got a quick question.. do you click it or use keyboard shortcut? maybe they dont light when you use the key command?
Frederf Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Nah, if you have the Ka-50 in the proper state the click vs. keyboard makes no difference. It's the WCS power switch that's the culprit.
