Boogaboo Posted October 8, 2022 Share Posted October 8, 2022 (edited) Hi all, Playing the F5 as my learn jets DCS platform. Got to the sidewinder tutorial and the audio lock indicator (growl) is almost un able to be heard. I have turned the missile volume up as far as it can go and still can hardly hear the thing. If it matters I am playing with a very good quality headphone set and have tried all kinds of its options (Mono, stereo, 7.1) etc...nothing helps. All the other sounds in game at great. In fact the engine sound is prob too loud. I looked around in the F5 sound folder and saw nothing I recognize to edit this setting either. Anyone have a way to make this work a little better? Also, I am away that tone varies and get louder when you get a better lock/solution. But its still insanely low. VZ_342 Posted October 14, 2022 Share Posted October 14, 2022 There is a 3-way switch with a red safety cover directly above the center pylon selector, lower position is "camera", middle position is safe, upper position arms guns and missiles. When the switch is in the middle, the missile tone is not heard. Flip it up, and make sure volume is up (I think that is default). Hope this helps.
