FZG_Immel
Quick size comparison with tjr thrust master cougar MFDs. For screen size ref And here we have my first « negative » feedback: in the thrust master mfd the cable come from the side of the unit, meaning you can tape the unit directly to a monitor in which you export the image. here the plug is on the back of the unit panel, meaning you cannot tape it directly to a monitor. Or you will have to do it with a certain gap to allow the space for the connector Edited October 20, 2022 by FZG_Immel 2 [sIGPIC]https://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic70550_3.gif[/sIGPIC] Asus Z390-H - SSD M.2 EVO 970 - Intel I9 @5.0ghz - 32gb DDR4 4000 - EVGA 3090 - Cougar FSSB + Virpil WRBRD + Hornet Stick - Thrustmaster TPR Pedal + WinWing MIP + Orion + TO and CO pannels - Track IR5

FZG_Immel
This of course is NOT an issue if you intend it to use it like winwing meant to. obious
Thanks for the pics, keep ‘em coming. Regarding placement of that USB-C port, that is such a stupid position; why not put it in the middle of the panel so those wishing to mount the MFDs into their own rigs can make a nice hole that’ll be surely covered up be the surrounding bezels and not right on the edge. Any feedback on the buttons, do they feel soft and spongy or is there a positive ‘click’/press when using them? FZG_Immel
I would say the buttons around the mfds and on the UFC feel MUCH better than the thrustmaster ones and less spongy but they do not have the positive « click » I was hoping for like you can hear on some professional cockpits. They have a step but it’s not a click. They seem good enough though and I will confirm that as soon as I plug the whole thing to the computer hopefully tomorrow. Only by using them connected I can judge. if you have ever used the A10UFC sold years ago by another company, I would say the buttons feel about the same. And that is good. I also think the USBC port on the mfd buttons unit should be placed on the side rather than behind, in order to allow people to simply placate the mfds to any monitor. This is what I used to to with my thrustmaters. if I had not purchased the whole package with winwing monitors, I would have had no chance to used the winwing buttons like I used my thrustmasters They need to be on the side on V2 Edited October 20, 2022 by FZG_Immel 1 1 [sIGPIC]https://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic70550_3.gif[/sIGPIC] Asus Z390-H - SSD M.2 EVO 970 - Intel I9 @5.0ghz - 32gb DDR4 4000 - EVGA 3090 - Cougar FSSB + Virpil WRBRD + Hornet Stick - Thrustmaster TPR Pedal + WinWing MIP + Orion + TO and CO pannels - Track IR5

Gruman
Thanks for the picture. Any chance for a pic of the back of the MIP without the clamps? The USB-C cable is really a downside. The plan to mount the MIP/HUD/AMPCD to a flat monitor won't work with that plug. Might find some flat 90° USB-C adapter/cable. Thanks Btw, might worth blurring the shipping labels on those pictures, just in case. But why could you not just put a display behind it like that? The USB is already conveniently at the outer edge of the bezel… Let alone the fact, that ww is already offering an „all-around“ pretty much carefree package. vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. FZG_Immel
That you could. But with the thrustmaster panel you could simply stick 3 of them on a a standard monitor. No need for the monitor to be smaller than the edge of the bezel 2 hours ago, Gruman said: Thanks for the picture. Any chance for a pic of the back of the MIP without the clamps? This is not a solution for a full realism cockpit more like a semi realist one. I personally would have favored possibilities to replace thrustmasters mfds to increase my customer base. and yes the all around carefree is what I bought. But it has advantages and downsides. That’s why in my comment I put “negative” with “ “ . more like something you need to be aware of than negative per se Edited October 21, 2022 by FZG_Immel 1 [sIGPIC]https://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic70550_3.gif[/sIGPIC] Asus Z390-H - SSD M.2 EVO 970 - Intel I9 @5.0ghz - 32gb DDR4 4000 - EVGA 3090 - Cougar FSSB + Virpil WRBRD + Hornet Stick - Thrustmaster TPR Pedal + WinWing MIP + Orion + TO and CO pannels - Track IR5
Gruman
Thanks, but not importand. Get it up and running I simply think its more practical to run one big screen for the export than 3 single. Less Cables, less configuring and I still able to export the IFEI/RWR etc For the cable, there are multiple solutions to get it mounted on a monitor. A 90 degree USB Ribbon Connector would be a very neat solution which won't add to much height. markom
Thanks for the cable observation. I'm glad I didn't order them, then. I currently use the setup with 3x Cougars on two 11" screens. Side cables make this possible. That said, cable from behind, as WW has done is needed for a side-by-side assembly with the UFC, so I understand their engineering decision there. It's wonderful we have multiple options to address our needs, isn't it!
