Ruler Line in F-10 Map/Distance almost unreadable

Since 2.8, when in the F-10 Map and using the ruler line to get Distance/Bearing, the information is no longer in the top bar? Its on the actual line and most often obstructed and unreadable. Is it possible to get this info back at the top so we can read the info? The example below is not a good one as it is readable for the most part but I just wanted to make sure it was understood what I am referring to.

In alot of my experiences, it wouldnt have mattered where on the line the info was, it would still have been difficult to see

Um, where do you see the "Distance" in such a format? Thats the point of this thread

Well, I hope that will follow. I understood this as experiment to get feedback.

Most people would agree with that, so you can actually see the info.

I just wanted to create another thread regarding this issue, which is very irritating in many occasions, but I found this one already created.

I would change the colors on the ruler and as well on the compass, to make it way more readable, to something like that:

To add 1: I would also add the "T" into the text of designate the True North (if there already is M for the Magnetic north).

This is the change in hard-to-see environment:

To add 2: Change black with a white text would be even better/more readable on the half back background:

Yellow might be more visible than magenta...

If they would just put the darn info back on the top tool bar, problem solve for what I posted for!

Also the orientation of the labels with the data follows the line so you have to very inconveniently turn the head left or right, without any sense, besides zooming until you can actually distinguish the numbers... What was exactly wrong with the display of that data on the top as it was previously? Or the data itself can still be where it is right now, only clearly visible against some contrasted color and also be displayed hotizontaly, right there on the line, wouldn't that everybody love, including the dev that proposed the solution that is currently implemented?

Thx in advance

Devs say the info won't be back in the top bar. This was a choice.

A choice made by the Devs?  Clearly it was a choice, the only other alternative would be an accidental coding error, IMO it was a bad choice, as people have said it is often unreadable.

Yes, it still sucks. I sure wish Ed would concentrate on fixing all these niggling problems before they spend time on the next update. Fix what we have then worry about the next version please.
