The missile will switch to HOJ mode, lofting will not work, and there is some discussion about reduced accuracy against jammers in another thread.

Awaiting: DCS F-15C

My question refers to jammer activation by the LAUNCHING aircraft, not others. So, will launch platform jammer activation interfere with the launcher's initial radar guidance of the missile? And furthermore, does it have any affect in DCS World?

The missile should only be affected if your radar performance is degraded (ie you lose lock on the target). If that does happen the missile will go for the target's last known position, but the chance of it missing is greater.

I haven't tried jamming in the Hornet recently so I'm not sure how it interacts with the radar currently, but you should be able to test that.

I think the manual (at least Chuck's guide) says clearly that turning on jammer automatically turns off radar. So my guess would be that since AMRAAM would not get any guiding from plane's radar, it would turn on own radar and try to lock on the closest target, as with VISUAL mode.

Chuck's guide is currently wrong. The Hornet radar used to turn off while jamming was on, but no longer, at least in TWS. I haven't seen much degradation in missile performance with jamming on, however I'm not sure how to quantify it, or measure it in the heat of combat.

I'm seeing the same.  Hadn't had a chance to do more than a quick test to confirm it so I hadn't posted.

I may be misunderstanding but, in another thread we are told that the 120 needs that long trigger press to send all the info from the plane to the 120. So, if that is true, why would anything that happens in the plane after the 120 is launched affect the 120?
