Rumble functionality in PS5 controller as makeshift haptic feedback?

Recommended Posts

I am a gamer. I have a bunch of hardware.
I have TrackIR, and a full HOTAS with VKB T-Rudder.

So, I'm not asking PS5 controller related questions in terms of control mapping.

All I'm looking for is a makeshift/cheap way to get the controller to vibrate during helicopter/airplane buffeting.

Why:
I think 90% of us have an xbox or PS5.

I think it's a massive missed opportunity to have rumble features enabled easily, natively, in game, via USB.

Yes I know I can buy a soundcard and do all this fancy crap with simshaker and buttkicker etc etc.

But I have a PS5 controller RIGHT HERE.

It would be very interesting to have the controller on my leg, vibrating and providing feedback with respect to VRS/buffeting while flying. Especially if it was FREE. Then I could decide if I like the idea enough to buy the more advanced gear.

Anyone know how to do this?

You may contact wotever, author of simhub software. He managed to vibrate those rumblers via arduino.

Simhub got a popular discord

Si he may know a shortcut for using usb controllers
