TripleTapper Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 (edited) I took a month or so break in the campaign to setup a new hotas. Needless to say, I forgot some of the flight plan creation lessons from mission 3. Was no big deal, I found a mission on YouTube and it helped a lot. Not sure why, but I had a hard time with this mission. The mission itself worked great and all the triggers worked. The issue was the direct, to-to, to-from part. The HSI didn’t work like they showed in the YouTube video. When I had it set to direct, the HSI in the CDU still was showing X's. I decided to just follow the waypoints on the TAD and everything progressed the way it should. I will definitely be playing this one again after I study some more on the waypoints and CDU. Looking forward to Mission 5! Edited April 30, 2023 by TripleTapper
baltic_dragon Posted May 3, 2023 Posted May 3, 2023 Yeah, make sure to read the manual and follow the instructions, this is I think the most complicated part of the whole campaign (and also was to write in a comprehendible way, which probably I did not really succeed in doing, LOL). Have fun with the rest! For more information, please visit my website. If you want to reach me with a bug report, feedback or a question, it is best to do this via my Discord channel. Delta Kilo Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 Hi, since this is about experience with mission 4, I would also like to share my experience. Great mission! Although I had to fly it twice since I broke the triggers in my first attempt. Not 100% sure why, but after the 3D exercise I lost the triggers. During my 2nd attempt I discovered while I was doing the 3D exercise that I was on route to waypoint 7 (and was wondering why it didn´t work). I changed to WPT 6 (MSN5), flew back and then it all worked, and the triggers were running till the end. Probably I made the same mistake before. Due to the complexity of this mission, I found it very helpful to repeat everything, because now the flow was more smooth. 1
baltic_dragon Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 Thanks! I know it is complex and best played several times. At least nobody is rushing you 1 For more information, please visit my website.
