Hide Opfor from F10 map but still have them available to skip through for debrief/damage assessment

Hello,
i constantly have the problem that i would like to hide all Opfor from the F10 map (ME mission options), but still be able to allow players to view remaining Opfor units on the map and skip through them with F2, F5 etc AFTER the mission is over and everyone is back to base.

Is there a way to do this with triggers somehow?

Also is there a way to hide only specific units on the F10 map? There is the "hide on map" feature, but this only hides the unit in the ME if i'm not mistaken.

What other interesting ways are there to allow debrief / damage assessment in engine and "in session". Not interested in thrid-party programs... Maybe have everyone switch to "spectator"?!

Does setting 'fog of war' visibility not do this? I'm unsure.

yes, it allows you to hide units from the F10 map, which is great. I am just lookign for a way to change that during mission, so that after after players are back to base, enemy units are visible again for a in-mission-"debrief"...

Hmm, yes its maybe possible, maybe, but would require heavy modding and knowledge of the ED Lua. If it were me I would write my own event listener and export to a website/discord or similar. That would be less of a job and you'd have more control.

 

I figured out a cheaty way of pocking holes in the fog to 'reveal' map area's but its far from perfect and ive yet to figure out how to get rid of the hole lol.

my way of poking holes in the fog was to late activate some friendly infantry as "recon" near the target, but this is not optimal in many situation and does only really work for small scale ground pounding missions, where all "relevant" enemies are in a confined area...

will have to try if the combined arms / gamemaster thing can be helpful in any way, or if one can "cheat" with spectator mode or side switching... i'm only doing coop/pve, so i'm not concerned with someone exploiting those functions to gain an unfair advantage... i just want to have "fog of war" during actual play, and less fog towards the end...

I like your thinking, I spawned a reaper, invisible, immortal, ground level for 0.001 and then silent destroy and get a large area opened, but I've yet to be around to see if it ever goes of it own accord.
