Aja Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 After some time, I have returned to continue the campaign and I just spent half a day deciphering your briefing for mission 10! Why didn't you write the pilot's name and call-name, which is the player going to play as, at the start of every mission? I was forced to look up the book in my library to make sure, that Wilson is called "Flip" and somehow deducted that in this mission I am playing as Wilson. Also, the information that Wilson is in the Hammer Squad is secretly hidden in the automatically generated part of the briefing. It is very frustrating to read the whole briefing and have to memorize the names and tasks of other pilots because I don't know which order is for me and which is for other pilots. I didn't have the same problem with your previous campaigns (F-15 and A-10), probably because there were fewer pilots and not so grand battle plan. BTW. Sometimes I am not sure what is my task during a mission so I RTB just to discover, that my task was different and I just misunderstood the conversation with my wingman. It happened to me in a couple of missions.
baltic_dragon Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 @Aja thanks for your feedback. This is because this campaigns follows the novel and the briefing is mostly using the same info that was there. Also, you can find most of the stuff in the kneeboard plus by M10 you should at least know what is the callsign of your own character Both Raven One campaigns briefings were written by former F-18 pilots and closely follow the real thing, and this is done on purpose. You just need to prepare better for these sorties, especially the larger packages like in M10... 1 For more information, please visit my website. PawlaczGMD Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 I mean it is a story campaign, where you play as the same guy in every mission. If you can't keep track of your name and callsign, I don't think anyone can help you... 2
alboon2000 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I love BD campaigns, I must say this one is very difficult to follow, for me. Indeed I don't always know who I am. But thank you for the campaign !
baltic_dragon Posted January 28 Posted January 28 ...and the guys (Kevin and Jell-O) say they still tried to make it more plain that what they do in real life..
