Recluse Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 (edited) I noticed this last night and I honestly don't recall whether it was always this way and I never noticed or something new, maybe with the last patch, or just a temporary glitch. See attached screenshot. Just wanted to see if anyone else noticed this before making a Bug Report: Will follow up with more evidence shortly if I can reproduce. - Going to AG Mode with or without Target Designation (I did verify just now that creating a Ground Designation did not remove the AA block) - HUD not only shows the distance to AG target, (if one exists) but also has symbology block for an Air target including Vc and Range - Last night, I couldn't get it to go away even when switching to AA Radar and making sure nothing was locked but today switching to AA radar and dropping the lock DID remove the symbology. - Didn't affect AG operation, just distracting. -Added a track file, but, honestly I just wanted someone to say: "Yeah this is how it is" or "Yeah this is a bug" at which point I would have posted the Track File in the BUGS forum. amalahama Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Yeah it absolutely looks like a bug, specially if that keeps happening even when the radar has switched to AG mode
Recluse Posted August 1, 2023 Author Posted August 1, 2023 Thanks! Is anyone else seeing this?? And should I repost in the Bugs forum or is it sufficient to be here?
Recluse Posted August 11, 2023 Author Posted August 11, 2023 I posted this here, and it seems to be a bug. Screenshot above and trk attached. (also attached in original post). Steps to reproduce: Go to AA mode and lock a target. Switch to AG mode and observe AA symbology still showing. In the TRK, I could get it to disappear when Undesignating, but many times in Multiplayer it seems to keep the last locked target even when no target is locked when returning to AA Mode. (No TRK for this behavior) AA Symbology.trk
ruxtmp Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 This also happens time to time for me if I move the radar switch to standby or select silent mode on the DDI

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 14, 2023 ED Team Posted August 14, 2023 Hi, unfortunately the track replay did not play back correctly. If any one can reproduce this in Caucasus terrain in single player with only the units needed to test that would be very helpful. We will also try to reproduce. thank you Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Recluse Posted August 14, 2023 Author Posted August 14, 2023 (edited) Hi BIGNEWY, Try this one... At night so the HUD symbology can be clearly seen. - In this case: OPEN BETA, Regular exe (non-MT) non-VR - Typically I fly in VR with MT and OPEN XR but did this to be the most vanilla - Lock up target with AA Radar - Switch to AG MODE (AA Symbology persists) -LOCK up AG Target in FLIR. (AA Symbology persists) - Unlock AA Target in AA mode, Symbology gone in both AA and AG (as noted sometimes flying MP, the AA HUD symbology seems to persist in AG mode even in this case.)
