I´m totally confused?

I can´t get DCS to work it always crashes to desktop.

Has anyone the same graphic card where DCS works fine?

Which driver do you recommend? I tested 177.79 and 182.08

Are there problems with Realtek HD Audiocards.

I heard something about the Hardware Accelleration in another forum

Is this true?

Please help!!!

I have the german DVD version

What OS are you using? I have an EVGA 8800GTS 640, I use WinXP 32 with the latest nvidia drivers no problems unless I do allot of alt-tabbing w/ pauses to start other applications.

When does it go back to dektop, Reiskorn?

In the middle of the game or while starting?

Any error message ?

I´m using the saitek X52pro with saitek flight rudder pedals

The crash to desktop is in different situations.

sometime it happens when I hit the ESC key and cklick on

End Mission in the training mission section.

Sometimes it happens when the training mission loaded

completely and I hit the unpause key and take comtrol

over the helicopter.

Kind of late reply , but anyways the fix to your problem is to go into the C:\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\bin\stable(or whereever you have it installed) folder and remove or rename the file called "lua-direct_output.dll"

This will fix the random crashes you are having. There is a related thread on this for Saitek X52 Joysticks so I won't go into the details of why. Just get rid of that and you will play with no crashes.

There are a few users reporting problems with Realtek onboard sound but those don't crash the game.

hi, i have this card and propably not the latest driver :) cant be bothered to check all the time, and works fine. thats using vista64 - and 512mb version of the card.

i also have the x52 combination (pro)

and have realtek onboard sound drivers active, even tho i use an external audio-device from edirol for actual sound playback.

only time i had a crash so far was with fraps, and yet not sure why that happened.

This bug already fixed in patch. At least, now we can't see it.

The functionality has always been there to program it. If your a programmer you need to get the DirectOutput SDK. the LUA functions in the game I'm guessing allow you to read values in the game so that you can send them to the display with DirectOutput. At this point in time it doesn't really do anything in the game other than send a "Rulllez Saitek" message to your display. Looks like they toyed with the idea but ran short on time so it never really got implemented to do anything. Would be cool if they do though :)
