sebihepp Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Hello, I hang in the campain mission "on the other side". But not the mountain is my problem, it's the ai. There are 2 bandits Mi-24 engaging me and my wingies. But I cannot tell my wingies to engage air targets. And if I command them to engage ground units, then only unit "4" is engaging. The other 2 stay behind me. First time I got killed by the Mi-24s, next time I shot one down and the other killed me. I just can't see them early enough on the TV for using a Vikhr. Anyone any ideas? EtherealN Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 While it may not be all that exciting, when I played that mission and got the heads-up on the bandits I just hid and allowed the air cover to handle the Hinds. An option though if giving the order to the flight is an issue is to give each member of the flight the engage order separately. Finally, it might be that the reason why only one of them engages is that he's the only one that has seen them. sebihepp Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 Ah, I don't know that they must have visual contact to the targets. Then I will try to fly closer and give them the orders again. I always stay on waypoint 4 I think (The waypoint before the target). but last time my wingman engages ground units and then close up to formation leading the bandits right to me. But why does the escort did nothing? After they shoot down the Su-25s, I didn't see them anymore. Thanks for your answer. Sebihepp Edit: I always use LWin+D or LWin+G to give commands to my wingmens.
