Hi!

 

I recently downloaded and installed the Simmod Loreaload terrain (the new version compatible with Modman: http://www.checksix-fr.com/bibliotheque/index.php?page=detail&ID=5780 ) but yesterday a warning in checksix forums got my attention:

this mod of the original was made by me, there is no longer a SIMMOD, it has a problem with the International DCS version, where it overwrites two cockpit files that use the same name.

I supposed it's was about the same version I'd just installed so, as I have the english version, I uninstalled it using Modman. The question is, have I already messed those files? or has Modman backuped/restored all to the original state?

No clue really. I use the mod and haven't found any problems.

hello

 

i use the mod and there is not any problem at all with the cockpit

problem in the original pack was due to the russian graphics.cfg file included in the original pack

 

this graphics file was completely corrupted, it listed a lot of CDDS which are not listed in ED international graphics.cfg files.

this graphics.cfg file was not at all compliant with an international version

 

in the ModMan package, it's ModMan which register automatically the CDDS entries in the user graphics files

it don't override anymore graphics.cfg file with a russian version

SimMod lo reload terrain (ONLY ModMan version) is perfectly compliant with english version.

I am not a fan from that. Also I use the "DcsMax.exe" this help me to use my 2 processors.

So is there no way to install that without ModMan. Anyway ModMan was not easy to deinstall.

i'am very interested about this part... because i don't see at all what you mean...

it's 10x harder to install only one skin in BS :)

 

if it may help you, to desinstall it, just go in your windows config panel/add remove progam

select ModMan in the application list and click.

ModMan is uninstalled...

the ModMan folder already exists due to some .log files inside, just delete the folder

 

if you always see mods in BS, i think you forgot to uninstall mod first maybe ?

uninstalling ModMan don't uninstall BS mods, it's 2 things totally different

Hi,

 

I have downloaded the international version of Simmod Loreload (Modman)

But I have noticed "Roads and trees have been deleted for compatibility" What's that mean ??

I think (but did not make or repack the mod so I don't know for sure) that there basically was a compatibility issue with the original pack, wherefore they had to remove the tree and road replacements that were in the original pack from the DCS pack.

 

I've never used the original in LockOn, but I think the pack for Lockon includes new terrain, airport, tree and road textures, but in the DCS pack you don't get the new roads and trees.
