I recently dusted off my long forgotten SU-25 for some fun. And remembered this annoying defect, as shown by the red arrows in attatched pic. Was there ever any fix for this? I looked around the forums, but didn't find anything.  Thanks for any help.

I've been tweaking all FC3 cockpit textures and this is driving me crazy. It's straight up a geometry problem, you cant even paint to hide it.

I guess this thread would have better chances of being seen at https://forum.dcs.world/forum/866-flaming-cliffs-3-bugs-problems/

Doubt they will want to fix it, but anyway to prevent a case of "erm, trk?" and get the thread thrown into oblivion, here's trk

EDIT: In case someone is confused, this is how it is suposed to look (source: old wags video).

Taking by some videos dates this problem appeared anytime between 6 to 8 years ago.

Looks more like a "simple" case of the external model clipping throught the cockpit model.

Genius! These last few years I've always wondering why that texture is gone but I think you are absolutely correct as you can see the proper model underneath. You'd think that would be an easy fix for ED?

Easy? probably. But the real problem is getting this thing at least reported. Mods enter the FC3 subforum once every full moon and pick one or two threads at random to report, and mostly from the "Bugs and Problems" section.

I had hopes today's update would fix it. Someone at ED went on making a lot of changes to the cockpit textures and lighting and didn't notice the problem.

My bet is they only used the model viewer, where the problem doesn't happen, because as stated above, is an external geometry clipping into cockpit view.
