JTF-191 Scooter
Welcome to Joint Task Force 191 - Task Force Jupiter! JTF-191 is a U.S. based Task Force that was formed in June of 2020 and is composed of 5 squadrons with 40+ active members. We operate as a JTF with an emphasis on realism and joint operations with all branches of military aviation. We also encourage anyone to fly how they want and have fun regardless of skill level. We are actively looking for F-16C Viper Pilots both experienced with squadron leadership and new pilots! Our F-16C Squadron, the 14th (Samurais) Fighter Squadron, performs a multitude of mission roles including CAS, SEAD RECON, DEAD, STRIKE, DEEP STRIKES, and AIR TO AIR. Both new and experienced pilots are welcome! If you are new to the Viper, we will help you become proficient and help you get set up and flying with us! We are rebuilding the squadron and are excited to welcome new pilots. You can be a part of that! Our training is built to teach new pilots about the F-16C, and to provide refreshers to experienced pilots. With detailed courses on everything from take-off and landings to air-to-ground tactics, the training program is designed to ensure you are comfortable in your role and up to the task of joining our ranks. Once complete, you will fly missions incorporating the entire task force, which includes A-10s, F-15Es, F-14s, F-18s, and of course the Viper! Our 14th Detachment is assigned to Nellis AFB, Nevada. Our parent squadron is out of Misawa Air Force Base, Japan. Much of our training takes place at Nellis AFB and we deploy to the Middle East, Eastern Mediterranean, and the Black Sea Region. Starting in January 2024 we are starting a new training period. It will start with Basic Airmanship, Airfield Operations, Tactical Formations, Air to Ground, and Air to Air. FlyingDolphin
Hello, I'm a fairly green pilot, with mostly F-18 experience coming out of a VCAW wing. I have dabbled with the F-16 and am looking to master that aircraft in a wing that has a decent training program and flies regular. Saw your wing is recruiting and would like to see if there might be a good fit.
