Wanderer Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Got DCS: Black Shark as a gift from German (means i have got German DVD version) and got to say i really like what i see... However as my skills in German are rather limited and the default language mode of my OS is not German (Win XP) i would like to ask help to couple of problems... One... is it possible (via patch or any other means) to update the activated game i now have to say English localization? Or could such a feature be included to a patch (presumably after English version is released)? Two... Not sure if this is related but is it possible to get encyclopedia to work without having system language set to German?
Namenlos Ein Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Check your PM. But better solution is Buy DCS Black Shark now! link above.
Conveen Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 I have a english version and want it in german language, is there also a patch to change my game in german?
Acedy Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 I have a english version and want it in german language, is there also a patch to change my game in german? No. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] *** SERVMAN SERVER MANAGEMENT MOD V2 FOR DCS:BS V1.0.1 *** *** VERSION FOR FC2 ***
Conveen Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Why not? Just need a patch where all files overwrite to get the german langauge or not? No.
Acedy Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Because the different versions are aimed at different markets. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] *** SERVMAN SERVER MANAGEMENT MOD V2 FOR DCS:BS V1.0.1 *** *** VERSION FOR FC2 ***
Wanderer Posted March 29, 2009 Author Posted March 29, 2009 (edited) Kinda sad as the proposed fix didn't really work (or at least didn't fix all the problems). So there is no way ATM to get the game localization changed? Are there any plans for the future on doing such options/operations possible? Or do i need to find and buy an English/International version in addition to the German version to get encyclopedia and other various things working? Edited March 29, 2009 by Wanderer
