159th_Viper
What's the verdict? Any compelling reason to upgrade from 9.3, apart from the obvious 'keepin' up with the Jones' scenario? Yeah yeah - could research the issue, but I'd rather hear from the In-House Techno-Boffins :smartass: 1 Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Mustang
Roger that Mustang any good? Well, it's the same old thing for me, every driver version seems to work flawlessly for my 3850 in WinXP 32 bit :) I've had no negative results with the 9.4 beta, FPS and image quality are both solid in DCS:BS and LO:FC, other games such as WiC Soviet Assault, GTA IV for example are very stable too. Of course, every PC is unique, the best thing is to try it out and see for yourself ;) For a bit more insight into what others are experiencing so far, check here http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33943729 Edited April 8, 2009 by Mustang
Grimes
Also note, there is no longer support for graphics cards lower than the HD2400. It always gets sad whenever your graphics card gets taken off the support list . 1 The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Mustang
Catalyst 9.5 BETA version 8.61.1-090330a available for download here: http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33944361 going to try out the XP version this evening :)
FA_Crazy-Canuck
I installed 9.4 about 10 days ago. I find that 9.1 works better. 9.4 looks nicer with deeper colours and less artifiacting, but the problem I have had is that straight lines, like the MFD display grid, appear jagged. I go to desk top and change the AA up to 8, while in game, seems to fix the problem. Also I play a great deal of IL2 and it seems to have given my fps a hit. Will have to try the 9.5 beta. Mustang do you do anything special for Open GL games? I am using a HD3870x2, E8400 OC-3.8. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Mustang
Nice find Mustang just came here to post a link myself. No probs :) Just be advised, for the moment this beta 9.5 only works on the 4xxx series range cards, tried it on my 3850 and it was a no-go, as it has been for many others.
