New cockpit textures not that much better? (DCS 2.9.3 compared with old cockpit mods)

So, I've just made a few comparison pictures in the F-15C and the Casper mod, as well as in the Su-33 with Devrim mod and although some parts (especially text readability) are sometimes better in 2.9.3, all in all, these old mods look... better/more natural, at least to me:

(shown is the default as the first picture and the mod as the 2nd. It would probably be best to download those pictures to easily switch between them though)

OpenXR-Switcher: to easily switch OpenXR runtimes as well as en-/disable API layers

Kneeboard-Picture-Viewer: my own take on a Kneeboard for a 2nd monitor, that acts more or less as a better picture viewer.

F-15CX mod: my own take on a simple F-15C upgrade

English Avionics with Native Betty: you can now have English HUD on non US planes and still hear the native Betty!

Except for the A-10, I was surprised all the others were still at low resolution.

I hope the update in 3d model materials and the implementing of PBR textures will inspire community texture artist to make high resolution alternatives for us. 🤞

Yes, the A-10 is another story altogether!

The A-10s cockpit texture has a size of 336 MB, while the other are only at 40-60 MB!

Read it properly. ED's announcement is dated February 23, 2024. the update to 2.9.3.51704 occurred before this date(22.02.2024). The A-10A_2 and Su-25 have newer textures, with those of the Su-25 being from December last year. The cockpit shapes except those of the Mig-29 also have a more recent date.
