correct as-is JDAMs TOO is broken

Good day to all!

 

JDAMs (all models) TOO mode with HUD/HMD and FCR is permanently broken in Online, but with TPOD (not FLIR pod) it works.

Bombs impact far away (100+ meters) from TOO point.

In Offline all works correctly.

 

This is not new bug (1+ year), not depends from map/server and also from machines specs (tried from Desktop/Laptop). But if its matter - last noted case was now at DDCS server with Persian Gulf. Im attaching track (JDAMs case at the last 4 mins.), sry cant cut track.

I'm afraid we can't use your track since once we replay it it asks to choose a slot to fly so we can't really observe what you did.

In any case, some things can condition JDAM or other INS/GPS guided weapons, like the mission date (is it pre-GPS era?) or the faction (RED units have a slightly degraded GPS).

We would require a new track with the issue occurring, preferably short, to understand what's going on.

From my personal tests, the weapons are hitting within CEP.

I can also say that I have no problem hitting even small targets like vehicles with JDAMS on MP servers.  If it was a core DCS problem that all TOO JDAM on MP servers have been off by 100 m for over a year there would be a lot more complaints on the forums.  You really need to post a short track and maybe someone will spot what you're doing wrong.

It really seems like you're used to doing hot starts in SP (which would start aligned) and aren't doing a proper alignment or something in cold start in MP, but without a track to see what's going on it's literally throwing darts with a blindfold on hoping to hit a correct answer by luck.

I could be wrong, but isn't JDAM alignment just making sure they're on for 90 seconds?

Im sorry, but this is my fault, problem was in INS mode (without GPS). When Autostarting F-18 sequence set it to NAV, when Im set it to IFA all JDAMs works correctly.

Yes, but what I was thinking was what the OP discovered: if the PLANE isn't aligned properly that can throw off proper targeting.
