Missile Advance Not Stepping Though Missiles?

So I had a Pylon shot off, George wouldnt fire on Target as the Missile that was showing on the Weapons page was readied on a pylon that no longer existing. It was my understanding that we could "Step" through to other Missiles. My intention was to Step through until a missile was readied on an existing Pylon. I set to MANUAL mode and pressed the button I had mapped for "Missile Advance" but it would not advance? I double checked the button assignment in the controls option and found it to be functional, but its not Advancing/Stepping?

The Missile Advance button should only work if you are in manual mode *before* you WAS the missiles.

If you find yourself in this situation again, you could try de-WASing the missiles, placing it in manual mode, then re-WAS missiles.

Though it doesn't address your initial issue, if you jettison the stores that are now missing on that wing, the aircraft will get back in sync and will automatically step through the available missiles.

@AlphaOneSix Thanks for the response. If I goto MAN mode before WASing the hellfire, they are all green and the step button does nothing. I tried dewasing as well, same result?

@Floyd1212 Thanks for that tip! It never occurred to me to do that, but I will remember that for next time.

Your sight is in HMD. This only allows selection of SAL/AGM-114Kilo laser-guided Hellfires, which your helicopter has exactly zero of. You need your sight to be in FCR (or possibly LINK, which isn't modeled yet, so I don't know if that's true for switchology or not,) in order to select the RF/AGM-114Lima radar-guided Hellfires.

@LorenLukeWell,, it didnt make sense to me, but I tried it anyway, and it worked. I had to be in FCR Mode. So now that leaves me scratching my head! You cant switch to FCR mode without the MAST, so how would you do it in those circumstances where you dont have the MAST installed?

I haven't tested if it's implemented yet, but certain datalink functions like RFHO should include sight selecting the FCR, even if it's not present.

Three ways-

1) The CPG can do it, as the aircraft can use the laser in the TADS to cue the radar Hellfires, so you can toggle between the two types.

2) If another AH-64 with an FCR data-links you a target, using the RFHO function, receiving the data will enable the FCR as a selectable sight even without an FCR (don't know if the real life platform still enables the FCR sight select without it, but in DCS, you can sight select FCR without a radar only after receiving an RFHO). From there, the Hellfire can be launched towards the target within parameters, much like a LOAL shot vs an acquisition source point.

3) Don't take radar Hellfires without a radar, and the you won't have to worry about stepping through them.

I've found it only lets you after receiving an RFHO.
