Guest echo57 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I can't even start to mention all the errors and white screens and crashes. I have played this game for about an hour total sense it came out here april 14, never seen so many bugs for a new game. I read where someone said the ATI card was having whitescreens? Wrong I have a Nvidia 8800 GT and have the same problems. No nothing is running in my taskbar. I am running Vista premium home.I have used administrators mode and it doesn't help. For now I have put it back in the box and waiting on some kind of patch. I have a high end Alienware gaming machine and have no trouble with my other games that I play.I'm very disappointed in this game. Sorry Guys. echo57:(:(:(
PeterP Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 (edited) I can't even start to mention all the errors and white screens and crashes. But You should - That's the only way someone can help you out. And it would also be good to post your full system specs and driver you are running. AFAIK We living in days that even if you have a Computer from Mercedes-Benz you will have no guarantee that it will run everything. Said that- I had also some hard times setting BlackShark up on my system and thought also that it is not running well. But after some reading here in this forum I found my answers without even posting one singel question pretty quick. And everything is fine now - and it all was solved after very small changes in the System/drivers. IMHO-Black Shark is the most Stable and Bug-free Simulation that seen the light of day up to now-compared to it's komplexity. I hope you will post your problems more detailed and you will get help very quick as so many before you.:) Edited April 17, 2009 by PeterP
bengo Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 That's strange Echo : I'm running Vista Home Premium too, with a 8800GT as well, and I've had no problems what so ever. So, this must be a problem this community can solve. But it might take some tinkering and a bit of effort. It's been a long time since a game/sim got launched that worked so well straight out of the box/download. i7 6700k/GTX1070-8G/MSI-Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon/32GB DDR4 Kingston HyperX PREDATOR DDR4 3000MHZ Vengeance 1600/TM Warthog #6106/Samsung SB350_S27B350H/OCZ Agility3 SSD 128GB / Win10-64/TIR5
JG14_Smil Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I have a high end Alienware machine too and BS runs perfectly. Hope you get things worked out.
mvsgas Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 How much RAM do you have? Is your 8800Gt in SLI? Do you have latest drivers for all your hardware? What setting are you using in the game? Some of the information that might help the guys here to troubleshoot your problem. I have played this game with a EVGA 7900GT, 2gigs of Patriot PC2 5300 memory at 667 and an Intel E6300 on a ASUS MB and updated to an Intel Q6600 (OC to 3.0GHz) G. Skills RAM PC2 8500 running at 800MHz and a EVGA 8800GTwith no problems what so ever. I even updated the fan and heat sink on my video card to a Zalman VF1000 and now I can crank up a lot of the setting so it look amazing. I hope you can resolve your problems, I enjoy this game a great lot and can not wait for the rest of the modules. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
EtherealN Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I have a high end Alienware gaming machine Not knowing anything about the hardware other than the GPU being an 8800GT it's hard to judge, but an 8800GT is not "high end" anymore. ;) As for waiting for a patch, that is not the right thing to do. People using (as far as we know) similar to your hardware have had no issues, so the problem is already fixable. But if the problem turns out to be something new and special that is hitherto unknown - then it won't be fixed in any patch because you didn't give it a chance to be discovered. If you are not experienced enough to give really detailed information on your system, since it's an Alienware machine (and you did not customize the configuration upon ordering it), the model and such might be enough as far as the hardware goes. We would have to be informed on which drivers you are using as well though. If there's any such information you do not know how to obtain, just ask and you will be given directions. Sorry Guys. echo57:(:(:( Having a high end Alienware machine garantees nothing. You can have the best PC in the world and if it is configured improperly or you have software hardware configuration issues or even outdated drivers you may run into issues with any sim/Game. Best Approach as others have said here is to post the specifics of your problems, your machine specs etc. And dolloars to Donuts you will get some help and likely be flying this wonderful sim in no time. Don't give up, it is worth the effort. Update Directx and sound video card drivers to latest and try again. If this does not work post again with more specifics and I am sure you will get some good advice. Out Edited April 17, 2009 by PoleCat http://www.104thphoenix.com/
