Bones1775 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Unless i had an older version of the file there were 2 lines missing from the mod file that were in the ed file. One regarding tgp and the other regarding rwr. And 2 lines added regarding the code you posted. Also the devices.lua needed edited to maintain the original file sequence.

CapnCoke Posted October 26 Author Posted October 26 (edited) Updated. Let me know how it goes. Can't seem to figure out the visor thing at the moment. In vanilla DCS if you want to use HMCS you need the visor to be down. So at the moment JHMCS II works but you can't lift up the visor. Did this in a hurry so hopefully didn't break anything. 22 hours ago, zbysiek said: Can we get a version without the scratches and fingerprints on the MFDs? 22 hours ago, Steel Jaw said: That would be wonderful.... I lost the old texture template with the fingerprint and scratch layers. You can run this mod using the vanilla textures. If you want the black modern screens but clean, I recommend JustDuFF Canadian F18 cockpit textures which uses upgraded black screens from his discord. Kbu Posted October 27 Posted October 27 That one also has some smudges on the screens, i ended up manually cleaning the two roughmet files with some Windex, enjoy. f18c_cpt-displayglass_refl_RoughMet.dds f18c_cpt-tex03_RoughMet.dds 1
San-segal Posted October 28 Posted October 28 The F18C JHMCS II mod is incompatible with the new addition to DCS. It prevents the first-person view from working because it does not darken the vision when the visor is put on and lighten it when the visor is removed. If you can check it out, thank you very much. Thx CapnCoke for you work I know you will find the solution. Sorry me English no is good.

I am sure he will work on that issue when time allows, as this was more than likely a hotfix.

DrShaw Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I've been using ReShade to brighten up my external WinWing TopGun MFDs, but I'm told you may not need ReShade if using this mod. I haven't installed or tried this mod yet, but curious if that is true. If so, that would be awesome (although ReShade works pretty well... it would just be nice to not have to worry about it).
sobe Posted November 18 Posted November 18 If you use Helios, you can make your own visors. I made two of them. One just fits the HUD and the other covers the entire screen. I apply/unapply them with a toggle button. SkateZilla Posted November 19 Posted November 19 The visor itself is a small EDM that connects to the helmet visor connector. you could export a pair of Foakleys as an EDM and use them if you wanted too. sobe Posted November 19 Posted November 19 SkateZilla Is there any chance that you could explain in plain English how to do what you suggested? This is beyond my very limited knowledge. SkateZilla Posted November 21 Posted November 21 it was in english, any person that's been modding DCS w/ the EDM Exporter already knows exactly how to do what I said.
