Help - why missile/bomb camera does not work?

I notice during any mission in this campaign, that i cannot view the bomb or missile external camera 

is there something about this campaign that prevents you viewing that?  

e.g. F6 is the default key to view external camera when dropping a bomb, but it does not work in this campaign

The views are intentionally locked at the moment, although I'm planning on relaxing some if the restrictions in a future update
