I would think if Razbam cannot come to a satisfactory agreement that the F-15E would remain. I assume any contract to build a 3rd party module for DCS would include some clause that would allow them to retain the product as is should development cease. And then they would develop it themselves when they have the time and can take in the profit minus the 3rd party cut, or take the product as is and give the license to another 3rd party developer.

But I could be very wrong. Though it would be odd if a 3rd party was working on a module, and one person retired, one died, etc. and the 3rd party ceased to exist  and there would be no contingency plan in place to finish a product being sold.

Yeah it blew my mind...thought it might have had to do with this whole razbam issue because that was the only aircraft I couldnt find so I came here first to ask about it...seems like its never the one issue you think it is!

If it ever came down to that,

the Aircraft would not simply be removed quietly, ED would make an announcement the same way they did with the Hawk T.1A.

Even then, the Aircraft would remain in the CoreMods for AI regardless.

Key word there. ‘Future party agreements’. You know that RB signed one? If you don’t best for everyone not to hang their hat on it over and over as no one aside from the parties involved know if that even applies.  It keeps getting repeated over and over as if it’s gospel.

Also, IF ED gets de F-15E development it would take ages until they can start developing the aircraft again.

Is not as simple as the get the files and done. They need licenses, SMEs, move a team from another department, gather usable data, analyze all the current code. It would take a year to start developing the aircraft again. It's not as easy as everyone says.

The F-15 would have been my next jet plane because of it´s absolute awesome night flight capabilities, long-range radar and FLIR implemented in the HUD. Hm now it seems like the Eagle is down... can we still get the beta version please, maybe modders can fix it.

This shows what they think about its "oh so important customers" (see all the end of year videos for example). I stopped buying ANYTHING for DCS. The only vote we have is in our wallet!

I disagree, I think it is a good thing to have someone from the Razbam team here, even if he can be somewhat upset with people that write opinions without really knowing all the facts.

Razbam's one is a different situation IMHO: they are not "no longer able to support", they actively decided to halt the support as the result of a dispute with ED. Moreover, even without considering the technical difficulties in taking over someone else's work, ED does not have F-15E core files (RB stated that) and I doubt they have any chance to obtain them. Should RB decide to withdraw from DCS, I have good reason to believe all of its modules are doomed to the same fate of the hawk.

Sad, sad, situation. I've owned the F-15E for a while now and just started flying it a bit not too long ago so I'm not too attached to it, but the Harrier on the other hand is AMAZING! This might be wishful thinking, but in the event RB and ED can't sort this out, it would be a mighty righteous move on the part of RB to either sell or just donate the projects to ED for the sake of the users. I guess they could always try selling the projects to another 3rd party developer as well. Heatblur, please buy all or RB's projects and make them glorious-er!

I don't even think I have skype anymore, as I transitioned to Microsoft Teams for all my communications for work related things,

The request has been pushed through, he was using the automated system and we asked him to wait to see as we didn't know how long it would take. (never seen anyone use it) Then honestly I forgot about it, it's been busy and people deleting their accounts isn't on top of my todo list, but long story short I have granted his wish so replying to him will not get anywhere here now.

We do not usually delete accounts for various reasons just as an FYI.

I have no idea what the truth is on this, but it was one Razbam dev (can't recall if that was before or after he had posted that he had quit) that said ED didn't have the files, not anyone official in Razbam, so take it with at least some grains of salt.  The dev might or might not know the reality of the situation.  Either way, I agree that even if ED takes over development it's not something that can happen quickly so there is definitely going to be a significant delay before anything new happens.
