Weird Thrustmaster TQS problem

I lost calibration for my Thrustmaster TQS recently (mil power position was not quite at the corresponding position and max afterburner reached not 100%) and tried to recalibrate it using the method described here:

Now I have the weird problem, that throttle axis z is completely out of bounds, when I push forward like 3 % it imediately jumps to the afterburner position with no transition inbetween. I tried everything to reset this but with no success. The calibration procedure above does nothing when repeated. Is this thing broken now?

I have similar problem... my MIL position is 50%. I calibrated it using the Thrustmaster method but the problem continues

When I noticed that my Thrustmaster Cougar throttle (I guess that’s the one we’re talking about?) wouldn’t correspond with the AB setting in the plane, I fixed it the ‘analog’ way. 
 

I started off with calibration and adjusting settings in the Cougar control panel and DCS, with little success. 
 

Eventually, I remembered those rings around the axle inside the throttle case. Eight screws later, with the case open and DCS running, I loosened the ring responsible for the AB detent. I then moved the throttle until it was showing in the right position in the game and turned the AB detent ring accordingly. 
It is a fiddly job, as the throttle axis is just lying there loosely. I also noticed some slack with the potentiometer, which I fixed with blue tack. 
Now, my AB position is absolutely spot-on.

No, they're talking about the new version. 

Did the same thing with the AB on my Cougars.
