Hey guys, I'm pretty new at this, but have most of the basics down.

What I can't figure out - for the life of me - is how to get my targeting computer on the left panel (with the "ground target - moving" etc. buttons) to actually LIGHT UP when toggled.

The targeting computer seems to work just fine, but I can never tell if a button is enabled because it fails to light up. When I start up a mission with the chopper already cranked up, the lights work. However, when I run through the start up procedure on my own, the lights never work.

Stupid problem, I know. What controls the lighting to the targeting buttons on the left panel? What am I missing?

Thanks,

Chizelmonkey

You need to ensure that the weapons control switch (i fail at remembering it's proper name) right of the triple ejection seat switches on the right side panel is active.

I made the same mistake when I started learning the startup procedure, so you're not alone in that. ;)

the shkval must be active to uses theas fuctions. and you would most likely use them wile locked on a target.

What do you mean by active? The Shkval doesn't have to be uncaged to activate the 4 A/A, A/A Head On, Ground Moving Tgt, or Turn to Tgt functions.

My guess is he's talkgin about the K041(?) wep system panel, which also turns on the Shkval TV? ... lower left switch on the left/lower panel (same panel as the auto-turn-to-target etc..)

Both this and the Weps switch on the right hand wall need to be on AND DC power(?) has to be available (via external power, or from batteries + generator)
