Gunfreak Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 So it's nice to have civ traffic on, in the cities, so they don't look so empty, but it looks really stupid when they just drive straight through a roadblock you've setup. Is there a trigger where any civ vehicle that goes into a trigger zone just disappears? 1 i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
sirrah Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 No, traffic currently can't be manipulated. H60MTI Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 I'm glad I found this cause I was going to ask the same question. Really weird when they drive straight through a M-ATV and 4 people Lol Need a true roadblock option. 1 Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"

It gets even worse should you land a helicopter on a street: even though vehicles do drive through ground units, they smash up a helicopter. So if you are creating a rescue scenario, turn off road traffic, or designate the LZ far away from roads. 2
Rudel_chw Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Rather than removing civil traffic, I’d prefer a special static object that one could place onto a road, which would make vehicles reverse direction … this would give missions designers the means to isolate arbitrary sections of roads from civ traffic, to implement our own roadbases. 2 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
=475FG= Dawger Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Semi-related: When removing civilian traffic from a mission, it only removes the visuals. The traffic noise is still there. I built a Vietnam mission with a FARP on a road for the OV-10 and you can sit in the OV-10 or helo at that base and listen to the ghost traffic zooming past. 1
Hawkeye_UK Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago This needs attention, esp for the germany cold war map - can able to remove the lamposts to make a road landable by a trigger, but yea civ traffic off on the whole map make it look dead, we need it to by not enter a trigger zone @BIGNEWY --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DCS & BMS F4E | F14B | AV-8B | F15E | F18C | F16C | F5E | F86 | A10C | JF17 | Viggen |M2000 | F1 | L-39 | C101 | Mig15 | Mig21 | Mig29 | SU27 | SU33 | F15C | AH64 | MI8 | Mi24 | Huey | KA50 | Gazelle | CH47 | OH58D | P47 | P51 | BF109 | FW190A/D | Spitfire | Mossie | CA | Persian Gulf | Nevada | Normandy | Channel | Syria | South Atlantic | Sinai | Kola | Afgan | Iraq Liquid Cooled ROG 690 13700K @ 5.9Ghz | RTX3090 FTW Ultra | 64GB DDR4 3600 MHz | 2x2TB SSD m2 Samsung 980/990 | Pimax Crystal/Reverb G2 | MFG Crosswinds | Virpil T50/CM3 | Winwing & Cougar MFD's | Buddyfox UFC | Winwing TOP & CP | Jetseat
