Freakmeister51 Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Would anyone kindly explain this for me please. I can run DCS ok without VR but as soon as i connect VR it crashes with these reports, every time. I have run it through the analyser in Discord and it tells me that i need a discrete video card to play DCS World, it also tells me that the crash occurred inside the visualiser .dll. Everything worked fine before the 2.9.6 patch, so what has changed. I have also tried the garbage advise that discord offers and ended up loosing all the settings and missions that I had spent ages trying to create and yes I have removed all the mods I was running. What the hell is going on??? dcs.log-20240721-235024.zip dcs.log-20240721-235004.zip
Solution Flappie Posted July 22, 2024 Solution Posted July 22, 2024 Hi. Try and opt out of the Oculus beta program (v68) or try and disable the OpenXR Toolkit. ---

The above seems to have worked Flappie, so thanks for that, however, I have still yet to reassert my original settings so we’ll have to see.
FOXXGER Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 (edited) I found further info to the solution: My DCS also crashed after an update of the Oculus App last night. (I use LINK via Cable). This update overwrites the active OpenXR-Runtime in OpenXR Toolkit, so it uses the Oculus App. If you go into OpenXR-Tools (picture) you can set back the active Runtime to what it was before and suddenly DCS works again. However, if the mixed reality runtime is active again, I now cannot open the open XR toolkit ingame menu. Maybe this is the first step of the Oculus app to integrate the ideas of openxr toolkit into its own software. Solution B: Disable OpenXR-Toolkit completely and use the new oculus_openxr_64 runtime. But it comes without any ingame menu, which is a pitty, cuz u cannot tweak anything. Edited July 30, 2024 by FOXXGER
Scendore Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 The Solution Above Works. Also you will need to go back to your Meta application and reset your settings for the headset. It will default to an Auto settings so things like refresh and scaling will change
