schurem Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Hi, I often fiddle with the gamma setting between missions. At noon, in the desert, 2.0 is quite enough, while at zero dark thirty I usually crank it to 3, 3.2. How cool would it be to simulate squinting/narrowing your pupils by just turning a knob on the HOTAS to raise or lower gamma between say 1.8 and 3.5. Even better would be if it happened automatically, but I bet that would give rise to a whole slew of fresh bugs. So how about in-game control of it, by twisting a knob or pressing a keyboard combo. Mind you, It already does happen (and there have been many complaints about it), although not by THAT much. I don't think analog adjustment would be easy thing to implement, but digital one in 0.1 steps, as in options screen now, that's more realistic wish. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

If it does, might we just be able to adjust the range? so where it now only adds or subtracts say 0.2, put that range to +-1.5 for a more dramatic effect. 1 I5 9600KF, 32GB, 3080ti, G2, PointCTRL
Art-J Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 I don't know, but it seems to be hardcoded. Otherwise all the guys who have complained about too radical gamma changes when looking around or zooming would've figured how to tweak or disable it by now. 1 i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
