^^ More than enough with most settings on high

My DCS wish list: Su25, Su30, Mi24, AH1, F/A-18C, Afghanistan ...and frankly, the flight sim world should stop at 1995.

No performance if utilizing the second core, no stability issues either.

Only Problem is sound. It´s dropping out on occasion, or sounds distorted (Chorus effect) if several sound emiiters are playing at the same time.

does every one know you have to enable the Anti-Aliasing Settings etc via the nvidea control panel etc and not in DCS? other wise i think its disabled

so if you want smoother graphs or wondering why your getting 100fps lol this could be part of the reason :D

I'm activating it through nHancer, actually, not the nVidia control panel.

It runs beautifully and perfectly at impressive settings on the below rig:

Intel E8500 @ 4GHz

2x2GB PC6400 (800MHz) running at 1092MHz

XFX nForce 780i SLI

XFX GeForce 9800GTX+ 512MB (mostly stock speed, but sometimes overclocked to 800+/1300/2000 for giggles)

It runs passably (not as good FPS - no surprise - but no other issues) on the laptop I used before I built the above rig:

Intel T7300 @ 2GHz

2x1GB RAM at 667MHz

Unknown motherboard (HP Pavilion laptop)

GeForce 8600m with 256MB RAM

I have now have DCS running through my 32" HDTV and it runs even better through that at 1920x1080 than it does at 1440x900 on the MacBook Pro!

Runs fine with fps of 40 to 60, vert sync on.

Your problem is Windows XP.

Migrate to Vista(or 7) and use affinity tool.

System: Core2Duo E8500, 4G ram, GTX260, SLC SSD, and Vista 32bit. LG W2600HP 26" LCD.

Controls : MSFFB2, CH Pro throttle, Saitek rudder, Saitek throttle quadrant, and TrackIR4

BS Setting : medium with visibility HIGH

More skill you get, more you Love DCS:Black Shark.

Surely XP is the most stable and common OS there is?

Subjective ;)

I have both XP and Vista Ultimate 64 on my Comp.......XP atm gathering the proverbial dust. With the performance boost re Black Shark and the advantage of DX10 effects in my other vice (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.), I'm afraid XP is seriously lacking, with One Foot entrenched firmly in the Grave - again subjective :)

And Yeah: Rock-Solid with no issues........

I get the sound problem (loss of sounds) on occasion (creative XFi card) and had to replace my beloved Microsoft Sidewinder mouse with a much crappier one to play Black Shark (the sidewinder causes a crash and is a known issue - I'm sure it'll get fixed in the first patch).

I also frequently get a hard crash when exiting from a multiplayer mission that I'm serving.

Running everything maxed out without any hitches, but for whatever reason my graphics don't seem as crisp as the graphics I've seen in various youtube vids.

Here's my specs

Q6600 @ 3.5 GHz linked with DDR3 Ram (2GB)

8800 GTS (G92)

EVGA 790i Ultra

64 bit Vista

Oh, actually I just noticed that my resolution doesn't go up to 19, there's no option for that. Is that due to my videocard?

No problem with my set up.

I have to agree with Panzer, sometimes a little too long flying can cause other issues but not with the PC.

No, thats probably due to your monitor. What size is it?
