After recent DCS updates i keep getting CTD when i try to load my ME created .miz files to play using the Fly Mission green play button on mission editor.Sometimes they'll load and other times the loading screen will freeze up.Is anyone else having this problem.

Here is the file i made.See if it works for you.

I tried it yesterday and didn't encounter any issues, but I admit that I haven't flown the Mustang in years, so I couldn't actually test the whole mission, here is a sample:

I'm using the latest MT version of DCS, maybe you are using the single-thread version?

Well I noticed that when ED introduced MT threading and their new intro screen recently I’ve been having having issues with ME maps. They use to be easy to save file with a blink of a eye before ED introduced the MT update but now when I save my ME files they are slow to save and the whole map turns into a blue screen when saving since MT introduction so maybe I’m using single thread.

You can check if it is ST or MT, on the lower right corner of the DCS menu:

hello. 16GB Ram is the bare minimum for DCS. maybe make a pagefile of 32 GB min / max. or get more RAM. 32 GB is beginning to not be enough either. best to get some additional RAM.

Exclude the DCS folders in your Anti-Virus solution.

Well, that's a progress since at least it does not crashes anymore.

I agree with @silverdevil ... you can run DCS with 16 GB but it will impact performance a lot because of disk swapping ... an upgrade to 32 GB would reduce load times a lot, tough it will not provide higher fps once the mission has loaded.

My system has a Ryzen 3600, 32 GB of ram and a RTX 2080 8GB card, and you can see on my prior video how long it takes to load your mission.

Does that include Microsoft Windows own security since I don’t have any other Antivirus software on my PC

Thanks I’ve haven’t bought any new RAM strips since I had a old HP computer with Windows 95 on it.

Thanks,I’ve think I figured it out.DCS 2.9 can’t handle my medium graphics presets so I lowered it to low presets and it loads a lot better now.So I definitely need to upgrade my RAM.
