Help, I got stuck! Stupid sand........

Is there a way or trick to get out of the sand when you get stuck by rolling a wheel off a taxiway/runway, without having to completely quit the mission?

Wish for a better ground crew! Just kidding. It depends. Full throttle, wiggling the nosewheel, I can sometimes get unstuck.

Keep the speed up as soon as it leaves the pavement. You will sometimes get a chance to get it back on. Once the wheel stops turning it seems to really dig in deep.

I wonder if shutting down, and asking for a repair from the ground crew will get you back on the pavement?? (just thought of that)

Unfortunately, it won't relocate you. It would've been a nice feature.

It'd be unrealistic. That aircraft is down for maintenance and pilot has no business in it.

Yes, of course. Unless you have to take off from there because there's no other way. But in DCS it is Esc > Quit.
